We are inviting all children, even if they are not members of Arumdaun Church, to Awana, where they can learn the Word of God and develop physical and spiritual fellowships through various games.

Founded in 1950 in a Chicago church, Awana is a ministry that helps children from ages 2 through 18 grow strongly in faith. The name AWANA comes from the phrase “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” from 2 Timothy 2:15. The goal of Awana is to help children discover more about God through memorizing the Word of God: Bible memorization is the heart of the program.

AWANA PROGRAMS

BY AGE

Ages 3 to Pre-K

Cubbies encourages preschoolers to develop a respect for God, His Son, and His Word. Clubber Handbooks include Bible lessons, fun stories starring Cubbie Bear and his friends, activities, and an audio CD to listen to at home. It is a good opportunity for preschoolers to have a strong understanding of God’s Word early in life.

K to 2nd grade

Sparks club opens up a rich world of Bible truth for curious kindergartners, first- and second-graders. In three years, clubbers learn about the Bible from cover to cover. There are three books in order: HangGlider: Genesis through Joshua WingRunner: Judges through the birth of Christ SkyStormer: People from the New Testament All clubbers should start in HangGlider regardless of their grade. A first-grader may work up through WingGlider, and a second-grader may work up through SkyStormer, but a kindergartner may only work through HangGlider.

3rd grade to 5th grade

Truth & Training teaches kids the truth of God’s Word and trains them to follow God and practice His grace. There are four books in order: 1st and 3rd books teach doctrine 2nd and 4th books teach application A new third or fourth grader will start in the Ultimate Adventure Book One, but only a fourth grader may move into Book Two. A new fifth- or sixth-grader will start in the Ultimate Challenge Book One, but only a sixth-grader may move into Book Two. Awana runs two terms per year, Fall & Spring

Club times: Friday Nights at 7:30PM to 9PM

Pickup Time: 9:00PM at Vision Center.

Club structure: All three clubs (Cubbies, Sparks and T&T) will run separately.

Club Fees: appx $70/year per child ($50 for all other siblings in the same family. (2025-2026 price)

Snacks Served (juice box + cookie snack)

Lost handbook, bag, or uniform (or have outgrown them), a new purchase should be made.

Awana Pledge

I pledge allegiance to the Awana flag which stands for the Awana clubs whose goal is to reach boy and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

Bible Pledge

I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s Holy Word. I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I will hide its words in my heart that I may not sin against God.
